Bali 29。11。12

B asked whether is there any salon for massage around the hotel at the night before.
The answer is NO if you want it in a walking distance.
That's why I don't recommend to stay there as not much shop nearby.
But there is a really kind hearted staff in the hotel.
He said he can helped us to call the service to our room. We rejected.
Then, the next morning. He knocked the door and said he can fetch us to the nearby sanur area. Deal.
He even help us asked a few salon until we found a suitable one.
Here it is.

 Teratai.
A lot services provided from massage, body scrub to pedi/manicure and so on.

The price is cheap.
Around RM30 for the full body massage / full body scrub.
They also gave us a discount.
First time being naked in front of a stranger.
Awk to the max!

Then, comes the time to fill the stomach.

Left hand side of Teratai.

Right hand side of Teratai.

And we chose......

Costa Rica!
Nice ambience.
I think the surrounding will be nicer when the lightning are switch on during night.

Did you see that?
Mickey miao and Cinderella.
Fairy tales' drinks but taste not so fairy.
Girls always got cheated by the name.

Well known avocado juice.
Finally got chance to try it. Not bad not bad......
Is so creamy, yogurt like drink.
I think the texture is too thick I can't drink it all by alone.

Nice art pieces along the street.
I wish I own them in my house.

Look at the cCoOlLoOuUrRsS.
So rainbowish.

Woody Kitties.

B said we should bought the lion babies.
Cute right?? Yes, say cute!

A small incident happened in Bali
The van that the hotel staff fetch us to the place broke down.
He purposely drove to the salon to tell us. He sweated a lot. Idk why don't he just make a call.
So, we decided to go back by taxi. And we met this bad attitude taxi driver.
He just pissed us off.
The staff told him where we live and the driver seems like he already knew the route with the arrogant face.
Who knows he actually don't know how to get to the hotel.
Wth with him, he was like never bother to listen when the hotel staff wanna told him the route.
Then, we tried to speak Malay with him. (Usually Balinese feel more friendly when you speak Malay )
He only wanted to answer us with English. Omg, acting highclass uh? F**k off, please. We were trying to tell him what buildings we had pass by when we came, he didn't bother to give us any respond.
He brought us to some narrow alley, death end and called his friends a few times, then finally we reached Puri Yuma.
I wonder is he purposely drove us to the wrong way so that the meter board goes higher and he can charged us more.
If you're working in this servicing sector, especially facing all these tourists, you should always be friendly.
And he was from this Blue Bird taxi company. Of course not all drivers like him, he could be one of the minority.
Okay, i just talked too much about the tiny biny impolite guy. Forget it.

Tourist spots again.
We came to Garuda Wisnu Kencana Cultural Park.
The statue will be standing 150 meters tall after finish build.

At present time, the parts of the statue have been places temporarily in three different plazas within the park.

The middle space is for the local to hold some big event/ ceremony.
Surrounded with the huge stone walls.

Another temple we went during the day, Uluwatu.
Located at the cliff side. We were not able to climb up there as the tour guide told us we have to save a seat first for the kecek dance performance before all the people entered the place.
Later, you will know why we have to save a seat early.

Temple at the cliff side. Such tiny......
B took this photo for the place we sat.

The reason we gonna saved the seats earlier.
Really not a big space, but fitted a lot a lot of tourists.
Prolly more than 1k.

Some even sat on the floor.

Everyone's attention turned to this during halfway of the performance.

Tell me who don't love the sky.

After the show, we headed to Jimbaran Bay for the dinner.
We all know Jimbaran famous for the seafood platter.
We don't really cared about how much it cost, we just hope to eat something really nice at Bali.

Look nice but taste... um... really not that good.
The food turned out to be a disappointment.
Look spicy but just not spicy enough and the so called garlic butter just don't have any garlic butter taste.
Maybe is my taste bud problem or I used to eat food with stronger flavour.

REMINDER: If you wish to have a romantic dinner at the beachside please comes before the sun set, we came when the sky turned dark and we actually switched the handphone's light so that we could see the food we ate.
I'm afraid that I might get choked with the fish bones.
The candle light was no used at all.
Ain't romantic, not like what I expected.

Is so late now, I'm going to Ipoh in few hours later.
Fyi, if you realize that my previous post 25。11。12 I'm hoping to see Christmas decorations wherever I go.
I didn't really see any nice deco until today.
Hopefully I can see that for my next two weeks trip.

Nights

Bali 28。11。12

Holla, good morning!

Visited a place to see the performance Barong and Keris Dance, honestly I don't remember what the place called.
A public cemetery.

The offerings were everywhere in Bali,
placed in front of each houses and shops or inside the cars/ motorcycles.

Seriously, I'm afraid of this kind of creature when I was a lil kid.
But now, I think it is damn artistic.
Barong it called, a kind of mythological animal represents good spirit to chase away the evil spirit.

Wow for their eyes movement and facial expression.

Purple bluish lily. B, I  this shot.

Then, headed to Batik factory.

 Traditional.

Baby bats were hanging upside down on the roof.

We went Kintamani to have lunch.
The famous semi-alive volcano.
I guess I accidentally deleted the volcano pictures. Ooppsss.

Chilly weather at the mountain with breathtaking view.

 Next destination, Titra Empul temple.
The centre of holy water.

Did you see that?
A lot of people queuing up to bath with the holy water.

We were lucky enough to see the praying ceremony as the day we visited was Fullmoon day.

 Fruit tree spotted.
The apple green is such nice but the fruit can't be eaten.

This kind of stone carving can be found everywhere in Bali.
Someone said they may have spirit on it.
Look at its eyes!

Last destination for the day.
Elephant cave a.k.a Goa Gajah.

We didn't took any pictures inside the cave.
Basically there were a few small cave which can only fit a body size of human for the monk to do meditation and some spaces for the oil lamp during the old times.
Just like the picture below.
But, there were not that big inside the Goa Gajah.

The scattered stone pieces from a huge statue if I'm not mistaken.

Anything special about the tree?!

 Look at the trunk!

Bought a natural soap for bathing.
We all know how to pamper ourselves.

SONG OF THE DAY!
I personally think that this version is better than Maroon 5's.
Hell Yeah babe give me one more night.

Bali 27。11。12

I don't know why just kinda lazy to blog about Bali.
Just got the photos yesterday.
Can you imagine to organise and edit up to 500++ photos? Really headache!
And the worst is, the same pose and angle of the same things are repeated over and over again. Actually not much differences la if in guys' eyes.
Of course I'm not going to edit every single photos.
Anyway #Girls being Girls# LOL.

Can you see the rainbow reflection?
Advantage of taking evening flight.

The airport's ladies room is so Bali.

We change the hotel room for twice due to the air conditioner's problem.
And I snapped the two differences paintings in the rooms.
I always like arts.
FYI, I stayed in Puri Yuma Hotel and Villas in Bali.
If you're the kind who like walking around the shops nearby the hotel, definitely not recommended to stay here. Sanur area is better.
But, if you're opt to stay at a very quiet place then this is a perfect place for budget traveller.
There provided villa, so you will have a private swimming pool and nice garden, too.
The most important thing is the hotel is clean!

Chilling with beer for the first night.
We just simply added the lemon slice.

Bali personal Thought

I know out there, they are zillions of people blogged about Bali and today I'mma gonna be one of them.

Finally, I went Bali! A trip that almost planned for a year.
Overall, I visited a lot of temples.
I swear I never visited such many temples for my whole life.
Actually 5 temples only lah, but since my parents never brought me to any temple. I consider this trip I really visited to so many temples just in 3 days.
Until I felt bored with all those temples. I didn't really concentrated on what the tour guide explained about the history of the temples on last day.

I believe good driving skill is far most important in Bali.
The roads to all the tourist spots are narrow and crooked.
Most of the locals are using motorcycles instead of cars, I bet they want to avoid traffic jam.
I feel lucky that I'm not Balinese because if I am I think I dare not to drive at there.
I'm phobia with all those motorcyclists surrounded my car.
And when comes to the junction, everyone is rushing to cross it, is definitely scary enough for me.
You can't drive slow at Bali. People gonna honk you and keeps taking over you.
So, I really impressed with my driver. I praised him before leaving for his fast and steady skill. He always managed to brake in time!
GPS is not useful in Bali. If you're driving there, you will probably lost.
I rarely saw road signs.

Balinese are open-minded till the way they can go naked at the riverside?!
Or just the random one?
I saw a lady bathing at the riverside without bra or any cloth on her and a man just peeing at the roadside. You might see his penis if you're driving on a motorcycle. Speechless.

Then, another strange thing I found in Bali was I didn't even see any stray cat.
Bali don't have cat?! Impossible.
But, I saw lots of stray dogs.

You can see a lot of paddy fields along the road.

I always thought that paddy field should be only on a really big land and no other shops or houses in between them.
But, is different in Bali.

There is actually traffic lights and junction at the corner of the paddy field.

The Indian influence has been great on Balinese culture includes the architecture.
Stone craving and statue is everywhere and in every houses.
They have family temples. Balinese have very strong belief in their religion.
The first morning I visited at Bali is the Full moon day. So, was lucky enough to see the praying ceremony.
The children can wear the beautiful sarong to school, they need not to wear uniform on the special day.
How I wish Malaysia is the same. I hate school uniform!

Oh ya, there is a Silence day called Nyepi in Bali during March, a public holiday in Indonesia, a day of silence, fasting and meditation for the Balinese.
There is no fix day because the holiday is according to the Balinese calender.
So, beware of it. Better don't visit Bali during March because there is also no electricity, no tour, no people working for the whole day.
Prolly no people on the road, too.

Last but not least, when you visit to the tourist spots besides seeing all those magnificent buildings, your eyes is like eating ice cream. A lot a lot of prettty ladiesss and also some handsome guys la but not much.

There is only two pictures in this post because most of the photo were taken by Baby B's camera.
There will be more details post of Bali after I get the photo from B.

Is 4th of December.
Time please goes slow for this merry month.
*fingers crossed*

Night nights.

The start and end of Bali

The trip to Bali is kinda weird. Not a very smooth starting and ending.

Bus from Kuantan to KL canceled! Wth. First time experienced that.
So, changed to another bus and the time of course got delayed.
Wait...wait...

When we came back from KL, we missed the bus.
Then, spent extra money to get another ticket. Again waited and waited.
Okay, still alright.
The main point is the bad situation came with stupid bad weather.
The rain pouring like mad dog.
Missed bus, extra spending with mad rain, I totally felt like throwing out the all the rude words.

Frustrating!

Luckily we didn't met those situation in Bali.
Trip about Bali will be updated in the next post.
