The White Storm 掃毒

Was planned to watch Hunger Games but seats only left the first row.
Sunday...everyone coming out for movies after days of raining?!
So, we switched option to this - The White Storm.
You know what sometimes you can't get what you want, God could be arranging another great option for you!
I always believing in this.

I shall say this is the best Hong Kong movie I had ever watched within these few years even though I didn't watch all HK movies and I started to feel Nick Cheong is so much better in acting nowadays ever since I watched Unbeatable-激战.

Is all about bloodshed and conflicts between three good friends/cops, straining the brotherhood of them to the breaking points!!
When all the responsibilities drop on your shoulder....
When you have no other better choice than killing your best friend....
When you got to choose between your family and your "brother"....
what would you do?
what would I-I-I-I do?!
If I were him, I will probably gone crazy.

"Choosing is hard, but giving up is harder."

Still a great story even though I think the ending was kinda fake.
Superb touching earning shed of tears from spectators.
But I'm still....um...

The Master's Sun

Talking about October month what chu thinkin' ?

Oktoberfest!!
Which is already kicked start from late September and continue clinking ya beer mugs for this whole month.

Then, October gonna ends with another exciting celebration. Tricks or treats!!
Somehow, I like Halloween more than Chinese New Year.
Still Tokyo rocks'

Talking about Halloween, it linked to another thing - Korean drama!
So, what do you guys think about Korean drama?
Okay...... typical love-sick-died story line. So cheesy right?
Have been stop watching Korean drama for quite some times because I just don't like the overrated romance, then yesterday accidentally saw a ghost face appeared in my bro's lappie screen.
Aha, you know what can caught my attention!

Is a Korean ghost drama.
Some new things in Korean drama industry.

The Master's Sun

I actually heard about it from my friend, but I thought it was just some funny ghost comedy.
Until I saw the drama myself, sort of like "Ghost Whisperer".
Usually if you watch ghost movie, it just one or two kind creatures keep appearing, but in drama you can see more than that.

Ah, interesting drama!
Of course not forgetting telling my ghost movie kaki, we both got addiction now!
Let's get adrenaline rush!

Unexpected

Something that I must blog about!!
First ever time in my whole life, I see something......can I called it ghost?!

Yesterday I was feeling sick for the whole day, kinda moody......
I don't usually feel like that, why on earth ladies have to undergo menstruation. fml.

Then, I laid on the couch picking up my phone and started to scroll on the pictures I took during Mid-autumn Festival.

I didn't get to celebrate mid-autumn festival in my home
ever since I started to work.
This is the first year.
Although my family don't really celebrate it, (not typical chinese) but I still insisted to buy the lantern and candles.
Okay...... my parents thought I'm too old to play.

I tried to edit the brightness on this picture and surprisingly I spotted something unusual.
I looked at the picture for some times, zoom in-out and started to feel kinda creepy.
Interesting now, menstrual pain all gone.
I'm always curious on those creepy weird stuff.
I wanna find out the truth!!

Then, I jumped up and went out to the yard to confirm whether the "object" I taken still at there.
I immediately asked my parents whether they hung anything on the wood frame during the night. Yes, there was a piece of white cloth there, so the mystery of creature's body solved, but how do you explained the face-liked creature?!

I sent the picture to my friends eagerly needed someone to tell me the answer.
Some said camera lens dirty, unidentified object, asked me don't think about it, delete the picture please, saw nothing's wrong.......what?! impossible!
I was so disappointed until a few of them replied that they saw the same thing as me.
Well, it seems like people did saw something but dare not to tell me that was a ghost, maybe they afraid that I will be scared or they thought that was something not good to talk about.

Well my parents never believed in ghost!
Bro insisted that was some unusual creature.
After dinner, dad even tried to do experiment to prove that that's was just a reflection/ illusion came from the lantern we hung on the tree.
Um...... okay..... kinda make sense but bro and me still suspicious on what we see!

So, I purposely meet my friends to discuss about the picture!
When they arrived my house, I heard someone shouted to me :"Hey, we are going for a movie, grab your sweater!" ( we don't need sweater lar )
What?! I thought I wanna talk!
Geez, they dragged me for a movie.
Well, what movie do you expected to watch in last minute, The Lucky Star.
Late for the front part......

Well, unless you are Lee Hom's fan, then it probably makes a good movie for you.
I usually wouldn't pay for this kind of movie.
The story line just way too lame too lame but funny because of it lameness.
Go for the movie if you need laughing pill.

OK, back to my main topic.
One of my friend told me is so common to capture in those "creature" when you take photo of burning object.
So, no big deal la. I'm the only one who put too much attention on it.
I'm just too curious about "ghost".
Conclusion is I might really saw a ghost but just no one can gimme an exact answer or I actually need some scientific explanation to prove me wrong.
I still don't really believe about it.
Anyway, is still some unbelievable thing I captured first ever in my life time.

World War Z

I was in time for watching World War Z in the cinema!
I thought I would have miss out this movie before it stops showing in cinema.
Somehow, maybe there's this luck for me.
I have heard some good reviews about this movie.
So, yeah it didn't disappointed me!

Basically is an apocalyptic horror film - great zombie war.
Brad Pitt acted as Gerry Lane who is the former United Nation investigator who carries a big mission in finding ways to stop the zombie liked creatures.

I got shocked and screamed at first when they attacked by the zombies at the front part. I just wanna made some sound effect, watching horror movie quietly is just so... um... idk what shall I say.
But, the scene didn't scared me out for continued watching the movie.
People who knows me will know I like horror movie especially zombie kind movie is not scary at all.

How strong when the zombies united, they were able to pull down the helicopter!

Very excited seeing them merely escaped from the zombies especially when they came to WHO.
Somehow, we felt funny about the zombie's reaction.
Those grinding teeth part when seeing Gerry tried out the vaccine in the room. LMAO.

By the way, Brad Pitt was so manly in the movie, the way he protected his family and trying to save the world.
Seriously, walked like a hero when he found the temporary cure.

I think I can only felt the sudden intense when I watched this movie in cinema, if watching at home not with the big screen and great PA system I will never feel that.

G.I.Joe: Retaliation

A science fiction action movie that currently everyone is talking about it.

I never thought of watching this movie as it is the sequel of  G.I.Joe: The Rise of Cobra and I didn't watched it before.
Besides that, I heard one of my friend said if you didn't watch the first film you might confused with the 2nd one.
Yea, is true! I kept asking the two friends sat beside me.
Who is this Snake eye? Cobra commander? Who is at the good side and who is at the bad side and so on...... I think my asking had vexed them during the movie.

I don't really like watching this type of movie but if you watched it in the cinema is so much different with the huge screen and sound effect.
The fighting scenes are so real. Everyone is moving fast like the lightning.
The movie is just about to covered every type of action.
The gun, sword, knife, tank, kung fu, ninja and even a swarm of bugs can be explode on you.

This movie really offer no opportunity for you to sit back and relax!
It was like with a blink of my eyes I couldn't see when is the person died?
I like the mountainside battle. Is superb thrilling!
But also very fake la. However, I still wish I have their agility.

And they are all so good looking!!! Aha, girls being girls.
We are not only watching the actions but the muscles and boobies!
Hot and sexy yeah!

It is all blast as a great adventure.

Hell yeah!!
Hoo-ah!!

(You'll know why I end like these if you watch the film)

The Impossible

Just finished watching a movie, The Impossible.
I was randomly selected it from the folder. I thought it was an old movie until I googled it after finished watching.
And...... it was screening on January! Why I didn't reckon it? Well, may be not that famous in M'sia.

Backed then there was an Indian Ocean tsunami at year 2004 date 26th and Penang island got affected, too. I remember it was a terrific disaster, the newspaper were loaded with tons of tsunami's news.
I was still in secondary school and I was just "Oh! There's tsunami happened! And yucks see how disgusting the wounds and cuts and bleeding......And terrible!"
Not much feeling, probably because I wasn't the one who faced it and age still young. Kinda cold-blooded I'm. I wouldn't feel sad/ cry when watching those sad cases happened, may it be in movie or real life whereas others may already have watery puffy eyes.

Well, years after years with the aging, I started to have sense of pitying towards the poor one. Maturity, perhaps. I will think they're pity and feel like crying when I see those sad news/ movies/ dramas. Still no tear drops, hmm...... I wonder why some people just cry easily.

All right, back to the topic.

This movie is based on a true story. One of the Spanish family caught up in the chaos after the wave hits.
Movie based on the true story is always much more realistic. Just like the other one I watched few years ago, 127 hours. ( Survival of a mountain climber )

The family was having vacation at a Thailand resort. Strong wind, lots of birds flying in one direction at the sky and TSUNAMI attacked without your notice.
Imagine you were playing in the pool and towering wave pushed in from the sea and ripped through the hotel. You got separated from everyone you know and smashed to something hard that you can"t see! Freak out, mann!

The family separated by the disaster and eventually found back each other. We can see how strong is the will power to reunite and to survive.
The injured mother who still taught the son to help others even they were still in the flood. The son helping the patients to find their family among the chaos.
The stranger who willing to lend a hand to others even he himself might lost his family.

And of course some disgusting scenes appeared, as the mother got serious infection on her wounded leg, tear off skin and cough really hard till puking out some really disgusting things. I thought it was small intestine because she said she's going to die.

Anyway, I learn there is still loves and hopes in the world. Only with the bonding of love, people can survive in the hardest situation.
I think I might not understand how hard the parents feel unless I become mother of the child. But, I know the parents will protect their children no matter what had happened.

Here's the trailer!

Once a while watching this kind of movie might reminds you to appreciate your family while they are still living at your side.
I couldn't imagine what if this happen on me......

Best Movie for the year

Reward goes to
The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2.

As Malaysia is a week later in releasing the movie compare to the West.
I actually can't wait for it.
I already told my friend I MUST watch it.

Seats fulled in the cinema!

This is the only cliffhanger typed movie I love!
I was once addicted to Harry Porter but when comes to the last two series, I started to feel bored for it.
And as for Twilight I actually started to love this movie from the 3rd series.
And now comes to the final chapter.
This is the best among the series. Kinda reluctant...... sigh!

I bought this shirt on the first sight I saw it after the first Twilight movie.

I was falling for Jacob the way he looks and the way he loves , but now I definitely love Edward Cullen more!!
He looked much more better started from Breaking Dawn Part 1.
Awww.......the perfect guy he is! Oh, Bella Swan how I envy on you.

Kristen Stewart for being her awkward self is the perfect candidate to portray as Bella Swan. Like the CLEO mag. stated. She rocks her awk in the movie.
Bella, a lady completely risen revived, restyled to become the vampire woman.
She is far more amazing than I thought!
With all those powerful violent fast motions, you can found that this woman is incredibly amazing.
No wonder Edward loves her so much. If I'm a man, I'll choose her.

She beats him!

Then, the bed scene is cut! cut! cut! And even the kissing part.
Because here is Malaysia, the islamic country.
I wonder, people wouldn't do anything in the cinema I mean like make love when they see the bed scene right?!
Okay, stop it.

The most interesting part is the one you can't predict.
The meeting of the Volturi with the vampires and werewolves on a snowy field makes up the film's climax.
OMG!! Is so damn exciting and astonishing....... but when it shows out it was just a prediction I was like wth with the movie!
Alright, luckily is just a mind reading if not by the end of the movie, I 'll be very sad with those situation of the vegan vampires and werewolves.

Pretty oh pretty! Can't I own the eyes?

A little humour in Breaking Dawn Part 2.
Jacob imprinted on Renesmee!

Jacob asked Edward :"Should I call you Father?"
He couldn't got the mother, but he gets the daughter.

At the end of the movie, Alice has a vision of Jacob and Renesmee will end up together in the future.

Um.......ignored the strange part.

Cheers for the end of The Twilight series.
But still hope for more SAGA please......

Listen to this song will definitely makes you feel sad and probably cry
 because of the flash back,
may it be the movie from first to last or someone you've lost or  .
.

p/s: Don't miss out the other great soundtracks.

AWESOME MOVIE
"about life, not death"
"about love, not lust".

Tai Chi from ZERO to HERO

Went to watch Tai Chi Zero yesterday.
I know I'm late for this movie.
So, when I online checking the movie time, I was confusing between this Tai Chi Zero and Tai Chi Hero until I saw this poster outside the cinema.

The movie is a cross culture of comic books, video game style graphics and anime inspirations.
Was during mid-Qing dynasty about the main character, Lu Chan wanna entered the Chen Village to learn kung fu and the train that could destroyed the properties wanted to enter the village.
Some words will appeared to introduce you the buildings and characters.
Lu Chan required to pass level by level.
When he failed, words like "K.O!" "BAM!" appeared. Pretty much like you are playing on video games.

So, when a movie takes tone of video game or anime, it might be a little exaggerated.
The type of flashing light, the giant metal machine (I was like what? named as Troy No.1?! The movie, Troy flashed in my mind. Um, maybe they just wanted to prove how strong is the machine...... ),comic-cartoon faces/colours, using vegetables and fruits as weapons, made the movie a little funny.
Yet, you are like watching comedy type kung fu movie.

That's why I'm kinda disappointed with that.
I'm expecting more REAL kung fu scenes ( the grand one warrior typed ).
The teaser I searched on youtube didn't showed me those video games thingy.

More disappointment occurred when the movie comes to the end.
It's a cliffhanger movie! A really annoying one!
Tai Chi Zero seems to function just a little more than a teaser for the sequel, Tai Chi Hero
Because the storyline was short but the director make the movie longer with all those actions and Stephen Fung left quite a number of scenes at the end to let you guess the ending.
Yes, you really have no idea with the ending.
Not like all those Harry Porter or Twilight series' cliffhanger typed.
I must to say that Hong Kong people is smart in doing business!
Both the Tai Chi movies can be showing on the screen at the same time. You wouldn't need to wait for months.
When the movie ends like that, they just force you to spend on another ticket to watch the ending.

Anyway, Tai Chi 2: Hero might be more interesting and excited because Daniel Wu on cast as a mysterious monk!
And Patrick Tse will be part of it, too as a martial arts guru.
I guess more logical fight scenes will appeared not that video games types.
Oh gosh! Should skipped the part 1, just buy the part 2 ticket.
Mistake, Sigh!

Bait | Graduation

Another horror movie in another month. Went watching Bait in 3D, is more to a thriller genre film.

Tsunami is just so scary! I can't imagine if this happen in where I stay. I probably won't survive as I can't swim. Have been years that I didn't watch any movie about shark. The shark itself is not that scary but when it starves hungry for fresh meat and the moment it opens its big mouth, i swear you'll faint.

So, this movie basically is about the bloodthirsty sharks picked the survivors off one by one as they were trapped inside a grocery store because of tsunami. Mainly bloody scenes appeared. When you are watching in 3D is like death bodies, broken hands or legs are floating toward you. Disgusting, uh. Some sort like watching "Final Destination", just you hardly predict who's the second one will be eaten by the shark. I think this movie is so-so. By the way, Xavier Samuel is cute! Lifeguards in movies are always hot!

The first ever time that I watched movie without subtitles. Oh.... My listening skill is bad! bad! bad! I need subtitles for every movie I watch, even if it is in my mother tongue, Chinese. The slang spoken by the actors is confusing or I should say my English is not good. Trying very hard to focus on what they said in the movie. Tiring....

S convocation is just around the corner. She had been nagging me for present her a graduation gift. Sorry, I didn't buy anything for you. A small card for you. Happy graduation! She had been worrying too much before the graduation. Anyway, graduation is not the end, it's the beginning of next phase in your life. May you strike your dreams. Congratulation, my dear! xoxo

And she's getting her Galaxy S3 by tomorrow. Happy for her. Actually I can get myself a phone, too if that accident not happened. Sigh...

Friday 31 August 2012

To possess?!

31st of August! Happy Independence day, everyone! Today is a public holiday. I insisted to go out, felt a lil boring staying at home.....

There was a cheong-k plan at first, but the k-box were closed when we reached there. (Aren't they suppose to open earlier as today is public holiday? ) Urghh, can't sing.....

Alright, plan changed to watch movie.

Here's the trailer.

The horror movie we chose. It claimed that the movie is based on true story, believe it or not. Lil S kept blocking her eyes from seeing all those scary scenes by putting her fingers in front. The guy sitting beside me did the same, too. Ha ha! While, L is so brave. ( Horror movie is not a matter!) My heart beats faster even now when i saw backed the poster.

Audiences were screamed together. I knew some were purposely to make some sound effects. I remembered years ago, people in cinema seldom screamed when watched horror movie. S said people nowadays finally know how to release emotion.

The control man in the cinema did effect for the movies. He switched off the lights as the movie ended soon, then switched on again. ( Well, maybe is not effect, but technical problem.)

Lesson of the day : Don't simply buy or open any antique box! There might be evil spirit inside?!
