Re: Sept.getaway_M01

I went Malacca! This was my second visit within these 3 months. Was a free and easy trip. The main purpose of visiting there is not for the tourist spots so B and I just walked along the Jonker street and Dataran Pahlawan.

We stayed at The Jiong Guest House at the Jonker area. The last time I visited Jonker street my view got captured by this cute neon signboard. So, this time I suggested to stay in this guest house.

The Jiong House is identified with its light blue facade and wall with the only signboard displaying the words "The Jiong House". It would be a good idea to bring along the mosquito repellent. Overall, it was a comfy place to stay just like you're staying in your own house. We can't expect too much as you're paying low price to get a room.

Some artworks you can found at here.

Aluminium tins really can do a great deco!

Sitting on a wooden horse is a childhood memory.

What creature is this? An owl?! Suddenly feel like wanna paint this in my room.

We passed by the stadhuy and some museums on the way walking to Dataran Pahlawan. So must took pictures to prove that we were in Malacca. Ha Ha!

Our first stop was Nadeje patisserie cafe @ Dataran Pahlawan.
"The Origin of Mille Crepe"

I was so glad that the day when we visited was not as crowded as last time I came.  We managed to get a table inside the cafe but I must said the tables were too closed with others. What you had talked could be listened by the people who sit next table to you. We ordered

Tiramisu and strawberry slices

Ebi Curry Fettuccine
( I must said the curry sauce was so creamy could be a great combination with bowl of rice. )

Japon ( Green tea with milk? )

Then, we went shopping in the mall. Oh My Dear God, cheap and nice stuffs were here and there!

Okay, now angel VS devil.

Angel says: Control! Don't buy! You don't need that. Save up your money!
Devil says: Babe, go for it! Is darn cheap okay! You can't find those thingy again if you don't buy now! *evil grins*

"Ting Ting Ting" at last, angel won!
By the way, I actually wished that I can own the whole mall.

I liked the box! But don't know what to keep inside if I bought that....

Soooo many soft toys were waiting there to go back home with their owner.

After shopping, we went backed to the Jonker Street. We get the Mehndi tattoo. I like tatoo but the pain of inserting pigment into the skin could kill me. So, a Mehhdi tattoo is enough for me.

We decided to have dinner at Calanthe Art Cafe. The building, furniture and decorations are in vintage style. You can find handmade art pieces and antiques at there. For those who are coffee lover, is a must visit place. The cafe sells not just coffee but the 13 states coffee. They have different coffee powder to indicate the different states in Malaysia. We were not so fancy with the coffee. I might try it in the next visit.

So, we just ordered a set of dinner. We thought of sharing the dinner set then we could had food hunting while walking down the street. But, we ended up try none of the food along the street. Because we were too fulled after the dinner! Urghh..... Shouldn't ordered the dinner set. Is a mistake! ( Not that the food not nice, just that the portion was too big for us )

Took pictures while waiting the food.

Busy showing off the new tattoos.

The dinner came with the appetizer: Mushroom soup. One of my fav.

The main dish: Grill salmon with mashed potato

Dessert at the end: Strawberry custard

Again! Time for shopping. Managed to get a passport cover, cute earrings and souvenirs.

Then, we came across this! There was temporary stage built for the music festival. Performers came from Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Iran. Handsomes and pretties on the stage. The speakers were built up, the bass were superb loud. They gonna rock em' up! The environment was getting hotter and hotter as night falls.

That night ended with music

I'm a postcrosser.

I joined postcrossing about a year ago. It is a postcard crossing project.

"Send a postcard and receive a postcard back from a random person somewhere in the world!"

Not many active postcrossers in Malaysia. I wonder why? Maybe people are lazy.

Well, is so easy that you can just sign up. Request an address from the website. Then, mail your postcard to the address. Wait to receive a postcard. Lastly, register the received postcard in the system. You can even do direct swaps.

Is so fun! I got excited everytime i received a new postcard or a message that sent by the receiver. I'm glad that sometimes my postcards can made someone smile.

" You really made my day yesterday when I came home from a hard day's work and found your card....................   From Marcel."

"Thank you for the card! I like it very much............. From - Ministrialia - "

"I love you postcard of cute cuttlefishes. I'm going to show my children............ From Nancy."

However, is so hard to get unique painted postcard at here. What i saw were only tourist postcards. Urghhh.... I don't want just send tourist postcards. Well, I'm trying to get differences type of postcards when I travel to other places.

So far, these are the postcards I had been receiving.

I don't really like receiving tourist cards. Among those postcards, below are few that I like most.

Up: I think the words on lorry are advertise some kind of oil. -Hong Kong-
Down: Clothes hanging behind some old apartment.  -China-
p/s: I like the oldies feel or should I say vintage style?

Up: Hanoi's autumn -Vietnam-
Down: "Barong" dance -Bali-
(Both are from colleagues)

Heartworm carried by mosquitoes and live in the blood vessel of dogs and cats.
-Canada-

Left: "Gib niemals auf" = Never give up! -Austria-
Right: "Peiyu" hand painted about what she saw along her journey -Taiwan-

I learnt some new things through the postcards. Yes, keep learning!
One of my Real to-do list.

Before this, I never know there's a place called Mink, a capital of Belarus. Belarus? Oh, where's this country? My geography sucks. So, I wiki-ed that. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Belarus

Many dogs will show only little or no sign of infection even after the worms become adults. It can cause severe weight loss, coughing up blood and finally congestive heart failure. So, dog's lovers beware of this tiny creature.

Not forget that the stamps from the postcards are beautiful!!
Wolves, island, ladies, Queen of England, buildings and so on.

Here's the link if any of you who read this post feel interested to join the project:  Postcard connecting the world

Happy postcrossing!
xoxo

Fake thingy Go away

Just have a phone talked with my lil S. I decided to blog about this fake issue.

My parents told me this when I started to step into this complicated society after the high school graduation. You'll never understand until you meet the real world.

Been meeting with lots of people and hearing stories for these few years.
Different characteristics, different outlooks!
Don't judge a book by its cover.
People looks like dolly sheep might be an evil.
They tell you fake things, give you fake expression and become a fake friend of you.
How fuckin fake they are!

They like pretend asking you questions as friend but actually wanna reveals some secrets of yours.
Gossiping behind you, spreading your stuffs to others, is an ewww!
How disgusting they are!

Okay! Actually I can still accept people gossiping around. Well, is a fact!
You gossip, you listen because you are curious and free.
Hey, just listen and then forget about it.
Please don't simply tell others as you're not sure how trustable the words you've heard.
Everyone do have privacy, right? What if you spread something unreal?
It might gives out a bad impact.

I undergo this, telling things to people I trust and he told others and others told others again and in the end turned back to my ears.
After all, disappointment occurred more that angriness.
Is like you got betrayed by someone you trusted. I learnt!
Started to disguise under a mask and not showing the real face.
I only show true colour to the close one!

Well, is so true! We don't need to pretend ourselves at home.
Family members know who you are.
They are so supportive and always stand at your side.
I tell everything to my mom. I swear she's a good listener.
My dad and bro like to talk to her, too.
While, daddy is a "problem solver".
He solves whatever problems we face.
Superman in da house!

September, not a very good month I started with.... I guess I saw more real faces. Anyway,

There are ups and downs in everyone's life.
 Just like your heart beats.
If the ECG shows flat heart rate that means you are dead!
So be a carefree typed that as though the earth had lost it's core and gravity once in awhile.
Choose the right path, Go through the obstacles and Be grateful.

Life definitely won't be perfect. But, it can be wonderful. We lead it. =)

AND I HAVE THREE DAYS WEEKEND COMING UP. Wooots!

Pins transformed

Just finished doing a fun and simple hair pins transforming.
Getting this idea from the web.
I guess most of the girls know the steps. However, this is my first time try it!

Feel bored with your black hair pins or some old hair pins started to rust? ( Eww, is ugly on your hair. )

Most girls have black hair pins and nail polish, right?
But I don't have hair pins even when I was in long hair. So, B gave me some after I shared the ideas to her.

I think saturated pastel colour gives out a great effect on the pins.

Just wipes on glitter nail polish or coated a layer of it after the pastel colour dried.

Choose any nail colours that you like.
Put on two layers of the color so that it looks more saturated.
Wait for a few minutes until it fully drys.
I suggested put a layer of top coat so that it lasts longer.
Is just like how you paint your nails.

Ta daa...
I just finished doing within a few minutes.
Cute and simple idea to accompany your cute hairdo!

I playing with my nail polish.

Easy-at-home manicure by myself!

Nights !
