Tuesdays with Morrie_01

October is a long month! There are five Tuesdays indeed!
A hectic week, two courses to be attended start from today until next Monday......FML

Attending courses that you're not interested in are actually torturing. The bored-worms could kill you!

Somehow, I saw there's a book, Tuesdays with Morrie in the drawer, probably left by someone. Coincidentally, the title start with the word "Tuesday" and yet today is Tuesday. I read it.

I don't usually go for books in the non-fiction genres, but the best way to avoid one to fall asleep during some talks is to do something to keep you awake. When you saw this book, probably is the God send you some hints to let you learn some life's lessons. I had just read 1/4 of the book. I bet this is the fastest reading speed for novel of the year for me.

This is what I figured out as far as I had read. Mitch Albom recounts time spent with his 78 years old professor, Morrie Schwartz, who was diagnosed from ALS ( kind of brutal illness of the neurological system ). Morrie a wise, cool man. He kicked out the tradition that funeral can only be held after one's die. He gathered people that he cared and told them he's going to die and asked them to talk about him.

This book is all about Morrie's perspectives on life and death. Based on the fourteen Tuesdays Morrie and Mitch meet, supplemented with Morrie's life experiences.

I will continue my reading tomorrow.  Well, I'll see how do I get inspire by this happy old man.

Bait | Graduation

Another horror movie in another month. Went watching Bait in 3D, is more to a thriller genre film.

Tsunami is just so scary! I can't imagine if this happen in where I stay. I probably won't survive as I can't swim. Have been years that I didn't watch any movie about shark. The shark itself is not that scary but when it starves hungry for fresh meat and the moment it opens its big mouth, i swear you'll faint.

So, this movie basically is about the bloodthirsty sharks picked the survivors off one by one as they were trapped inside a grocery store because of tsunami. Mainly bloody scenes appeared. When you are watching in 3D is like death bodies, broken hands or legs are floating toward you. Disgusting, uh. Some sort like watching "Final Destination", just you hardly predict who's the second one will be eaten by the shark. I think this movie is so-so. By the way, Xavier Samuel is cute! Lifeguards in movies are always hot!

The first ever time that I watched movie without subtitles. Oh.... My listening skill is bad! bad! bad! I need subtitles for every movie I watch, even if it is in my mother tongue, Chinese. The slang spoken by the actors is confusing or I should say my English is not good. Trying very hard to focus on what they said in the movie. Tiring....

S convocation is just around the corner. She had been nagging me for present her a graduation gift. Sorry, I didn't buy anything for you. A small card for you. Happy graduation! She had been worrying too much before the graduation. Anyway, graduation is not the end, it's the beginning of next phase in your life. May you strike your dreams. Congratulation, my dear! xoxo

And she's getting her Galaxy S3 by tomorrow. Happy for her. Actually I can get myself a phone,too if that accident not happened. Sigh...

Nightmare in September. End!

Halo, October!
My September ended with an awfulll incident.
My car bumped into a motorcycle. Was feeling nervous the moment the motorcyclist got knocked down.  Shooo sorry, uncle!
I know is no used to say even a thousand of sorry. Injured means injured.

Was told that the road that I met accident is dangerous. A popular accident spot. Have been hearing news that people I knew death on the spot. I should said I'm so lucky that the motorcyclist only got minor injury. I drive passed that road every weekend. Why an I so reckless this time?? FML.

Before the accident, i followed a taxi driver that drove real slow. When i stopped at the traffic light his cab moving backward slowly. I guess he didn't pulled the handbrake. I honked him a few times to warn him, but he was like didn't realized his car was moving. Nearly hit my car front part. Luckily, the traffic turned green in time. I was actually started to feel angry with that driver.

My car didn't hit by the cab but who knows then i knocked down other people. Is it an omen when i met that cab on the road..... Went police station to report then, gonna paid again, fuh....

Planned to get myself a new handphone earlier, I guess have to postpone again. Repairing car needs MONEY!!!!!

And now I think the virus is searching its way to placed him on my body. Sneezing.... Ah..chooo..  = (

TGIF!! Finally went to karaoke. I wanna go for cheong-k since last month. Waited till neck long. Ha! Ha!  Great times spent.

I went to the mobile phone booth to check out the market price. I think I may have decided what phone to buy. I remembered I kept saying that I want to change my fuckin' old phone since last year. The auto-shut down is disturbing. Arghh....

Had been dragging the plan for more than a year. Actually everytimes when come buying a new IT items is a huge dilemma for me. I can't decide which model suits me. Especially now there are these company selling mobile in low prices but with the contract. Oh, dilemma! DILEMMA! I'm afraid that I'll buy something expensive but not worthy. The money is a hard saving.

Hopefully I won't change my mind again and can get my new phone by next month. Is not a latest model but at least i got my final decision. Pheww....

Just got a phone called from B. Her voice was extremely excited because she heard the news about latest M'sia treasury's budget. We'll get these year end bonus. Yay! Then, i checked out there will be quite a numbers of benefits for 2013. Sounds not bad. But we can never sure is it gonna happen in next year. Okay, now FB page started to float with this treasury's budget thingy. Election is coming. Well, we'll see..........

Re: Sept.getaway_M02

Day 2 in Malacca. I'm generally not a morning person but morning is simply more fun during the trip. I guess your favourite thing to wake up to is the sun in the sky. The sunny weather with wind breeze is refreshing. Not many tourists down the road, is a good sign! We found some cute paintings on the buildings.

Most of the shops start doing business after 10a.m. So, we decided to have breakfast at this shop as not many shop opened yet.

Then, we went to Jonker 88. Luckily we went there early if not gonna prepared for the long queue again. No way!

We had this Nyonya Pai Tee. They always says that great things comes in small packages such is true when it comes to Nyonya Pai Tee. I like the crispy of the shell.

A simple dish with nice vege combination.

Trip ended.
