Penang Isle 17-22。12。12_02

Who don't know Penang's famous food?
If you don't know, you're prolly not a Malaysian.
Everytimes when I visit Penang, I must eat their Char Keuy Teow, curry mee, Hokkien mee a.k.a prawn mee, Char Koay Kak and Or Jian a.k.a fried oyster with egg.

WARNING: If you're hungry, don't scroll down! LOL.

I seriously think that any stall in Penang that sells Char Keuy Teow can beats Kuantan's.
No need purposely search for the most famous stall.

The best part about Penang's curry mee is they serve with peppermint leaves and pig blood. But, too bad I don't like both of these.
The soup still taste good!
Look at the texture! I'm feeling hungry now.
The corner of the picture is actually the Hokkien mee but I didn't took photo of it.

This called Char Koay Kak.
The square like cake is made of rice flour and white radish.
The taste is lifted by the soya sauce which absorbed by the egg and cake.
Oh, nom nom nom!

Something new in Penang food stall!
Wanna be a millionaire? Try this!
Because they called it Million Mee.
It served with two type of sauce sweet or salty and some pork.
Depends on you to choose.
The mee is like the pan mee we usually eat.
I've tried the mee with sweet gravy as recommended but I don't like it as I don't like sweet food except desserts.

Have been hearing this Roselle drink for sometimes.
Taste sweet and sour a lil bit like Rebena.
And the flower can be eaten taste good thou.
Penang popular with drinks that I seldom heard nor drink before like nutmeg drink and lemongrass drink.
I never know the usual lemongrass that appear in Thai cuisine can be cooked into drinks.

First ever time saw the fresh nutmegs.
The red one was its skin.
My mom really likes those nutmegs but I just can't stand with the strong smell.

After talking about food, let's go to the best known Kek Lok Si temple.
Another must go place!

12 Chinese zodiacs.
Despite last year I went there was Rabbit year, unfortunately not my year,
but I still managed to take photo with the Dragon before the year ends!
 Dragon RrRawWw!

The George Town view from the peak of the temple.

The time when I visited there, a lot of workers started to wash the statues, the floor, built up the light bulbs, put up the big red lanterns.
Apparently they were preparing for the biggest festive season for the coming year which is Chinese New Year to make the temple looks extraordinary brightest building in Penang.
Just like the picture below !
I can imagine how pretty it is when everything is lighten up!

Some random shots on the cute plants.
Don't blame my skill.

I somehow think the clouds looked like cotton candy.
I wish there are fairies paint them with pastel colours!

Cheerio!
Nights!

Saturday 29 December 2012

Last Saturday in DEC

Today probably is the saddest Saturday for December.
Oh gosh! The last day of the holiday and the last day for me to wake up in the afternoon.
Don't the holiday suppose to be extended till 1st Jan 2013!

Tomorrow is Sunday and I'm going for a meeting.
And I officially start to work during the New Year Day!
Apparently I don't have holiday during 1st of JanuarY. (sad case)
Wth with the Terengganu's gov!!! What principle are they holding?
They don't allow public holiday for the New Year Day! Ish!!!

As I first started to work, when I know I don't have holiday during New Year I never have chance to countdown during New Year Eve. *sob sob*
Because I need to wake up very early in the morning to work and I can't sleep too late the night before.

I still can't get used with Terengganu's holiday even thou I've been working for few years.
I miss the life in my hometown. Truly miss.
Because we don't have this abnormal no New Year holiday scenario and I still think that Saturday and Sunday suppose to be the weekend and I suppose to say Monday blue instead of Sunday blue. wtf.
When can I shift back to my hometown?

Sad as thou I'm a lost girl.

Penang Isle 17-22。12。12_01

Penang, Pearl of the Orient.
Another shopping and food paradise in Malaysia besides Kuala Lumpur.
I actually like Penang more as they preserve their heritage.
Just the transportation needs more improvement.

Okay, the hottest trend in George Town.
Shooting the street arts, murals painted by Mr. Ernest Zacharevic.

Was raining!
People still queueing up just to take photos and the crowd was actually kept growing.
I must say Mr. Ernest you really did a great job in attracting such many fans.

So, I just able to shoot this from the car.

Went to this mural for twice,
first time was raining and the second time blocked for don't know what kind of shooting.
Simply took a photo before got chased away by the workers.

Pass by these.
I'm so impress by the formations.
I actually think that forming the steel rod are more difficult than painting.
But, why aren't they as famous as the murals?!
The press should promote more about it.
Below are some other sculptures I googled.
Shouldn't miss out, right?

Christmas decorations again.
Fyi, I'm searching for all those lovely Christmas trees.
This year, the nicest Christmas trees I saw located at Straits Quay!

A place that gathered the richest people in Penang Isle.
Why?? you'll know as you scrolling down the page. Haha.

Yea, Penang first and only seafront retail marina.
It provided 40 pontoon berths that can accommodate boats from 10m to 25m in length.

( Sorry for the blurry pics. )
These tells you only the rich one afford to own and rent a berth for their boats/yachts.
So, will I be rich enough to own one of this in my future?

Here are some pictures I took inside the marina mall.

Books of Christmas.
Creative idea!

Sponsored by Popular.

Simply love the paintings on the mirror.
How I wish there are colour pens and mirror to let me draw on it!

Is not a big shopping mall but the place is all in one.
They are housing wide range of restaurants/cafes and bars, rooftop pool, gym, saloons, boutiques, hotels suite rooms and so on.
Of course the price is higher as most of the shops/ restaurants are branded.
Not all of us afford to stay there.
And finally I knew the Charlie Brown Cafe is located inside the mall.
wtf. I actually thought is a random shop along the street.
( I remember I wanna visit the cafe during my last visit to Penang. And idk there is a place called Straits Quay. Damn it.)

I think Straits Quay is a perfect place for friends chilling out together or for the couples as the ambience is romantic enough.
Last but not least, lots of pretty/ handsome foreigners at there, too.
How I wish I am staying at Penang.
I know I'm greedy for always wishing stuffs.
Ah ha, just wish okay! No harm, right? LOL.

Some other Xmas decoration I like.

Pink Christmas.
I saw a lot of girls went to take photos with the deco.
Pink lovers must be crazy when they see those pinky trees.

Snowy white Christmas at Times Square.
Garfield's performance was there.

Overall, Christmas decorations in Penang are much more beautiful than Ipoh's.
Christmas trees my all times favourite!

Ipoh 10-16。12。12_02

This will be about some random photos I shoot in Ipoh.

Christmas decoration!!

Gold reindeers just way more elegant!

Balloons made Santa.

Food!
Someone said if you never try these, you're not visited Ipoh.

How come I never thought of Nga Choi Gai during the last visit?!
The most famous one in Ipoh.
The moment you start eating, there are people silently looking at you hoping you finish you dishes asap.

The bean sprouts are more tasty than the normal one.

Newly built River walk

Oh Hey Mickey!

I superb love this white tree and its leaves.

Kids

My three cousin's daughter silently hide the cards under the notebook before we left.
*Touch touchy*

Typical 21st century baby, automatic approach to you when he saw electronic stuffs.
